Top 5 Beaches: Dog Friendly Destinations

If hanging out on the beach is your dream for this summer, you will want to find the perfect one for you.  If you plan on bringing your ESA, you will need to find a beach that allows dogs.  Some go above and beyond with excellent scenery, water, or extra dog-friendly amenities.  Here are our top 5 picks:

1. In the Pacific NW, head to Cannon Beach.  Home to the iconic Haystack Rock, you will find open sandy beaches, and typically cooler weather (as far as summer is concerned), so your dog won't overheat.
2. If you are California Dreaming, check out Huntington Dog Beach.  With over a mile of sandy beach and lots of dog clean up stations, you and your dog can get a lot of exercise here, or have your pick of a sandy spot to sit.
3. Jupiter Dog Beach might be your pick for something on the southern Atlantic coast.  It has over 2 miles of sandy beach!
4. The Midwest has beaches too!  If Chicago is nearby, or you are looking for a big city in the Midwest, try Montrose Dog Beach.
5. For those of you in the mid-Atlantic or New England States, Wildwood Dog Beach has a great area where dogs can run around, and owners and handlers can relax in the shade.
