And do you know who's disproportionately impacted by the rising cost of living? Single moms, like this one from Peterborough:
"I have a full-time job in a respectable field. I am struggling to live in our own country. Food costs, gas, taxes, insurance, clothing, bare essentials..." (CBC)
She's not alone: single-parent households in Canada are four times more likely to live in poverty than couple families, and 1 in 2 single-mother-led households are food insecure.
So, as much as it stings, Lori's and comments like this make a fair point: our stuff can be more expensive than the mainstream brands. The good news is that as we scale, we are able to drop prices - and we have - a few times now.
So in that spirit, this Mother's Day we've tried something rare for us: a storewide sale.
50% off our entire skincare line and 15% off the entire store (including stuff that's already bulk-discounted, which we don't normally do)!
