The Pass has always been about more than getting from A to B. It’s the conversation with the person across the aisle. The recommendation that becomes the best part of your trip. Going to sleep in one country and waking up in another. The people, places and moments you find somewhere between here and there. Over the years, our Pass has travelled under two names: Eurail for travellers living outside Europe and Interrail for European residents. From 9 September, we’re bringing those two names together. Eurail will become Interrail, welcoming travellers from around the world into the same community under one name. It’s a new chapter for Eurail. But the idea behind it hasn’t changed. Cross borders. Travel deeper. Return home seeing the world and yourself differently. If you already have a Eurail Pass, your Pass, reservations, account and travel plans stay the same. A new name. The same journey, with plenty still to come. |

The travellers behind Interrail 
Over the summer, you showed us what The Interrail Effect looks like: those unexpected moments that changed your plans, introduced you to a different point of view and stayed with you long after you got home. One traveller lost her passport and, despite the circumstances, found herself enjoying a slower pace. Another traveller, at 57, packed her backpack and travelled solo from Portugal to Italy after dreaming about the trip since she was a teenager. Thank you to everyone who shared a piece of their trip with us. Together, your stories show what our Pass has always been about. As Interrail gets ready to welcome travellers from around the world under one name, these stories have brought us back to the same idea. It’s not only about where you go, but how you change along the way. We'll be sharing much more about The Interrail Effect soon.
