Welcome to a global community of travellers
Hi Traveller, It’s official: Eurail is now part of Interrail. Travellers from within Europe and around the world will now travel under the same name, with the same Pass. The Interrail Pass was never just a rail ticket. Our story began in 1959, when countries across Europe came together to make it easier for people to cross borders by train. With no fixed route and no fixed destination, the journey itself was the point. Today, we still stand for travelling deeper, not just further. For changing your itinerary because someone on the train told you about a place worth seeing. For missed connections that end up becoming part of the story. Somewhere along the way, the trip leaves its mark: a new friendship, an unexpected favourite stop, a different way of seeing a place, or even yourself. We call that The Interrail Effect. And now, more travellers than ever will experience it as Interrailers. Same Pass, same effect. We’ll see you out there.

Meet your fellow Interrailers

Matt Phipps travelled solo from the UK through France, Germany and Switzerland, discovering that sometimes the journey itself can be the best part. “Getting on the train is so peaceful, so relaxing. There’s no better place to have a main character moment than putting on your favourite song and staring out of the train window.”

Elie Stallard backpacked solo from the UK to Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and back, finding connections with fellow travellers along the way. “The people who are Interrailing are like gravitating towards each other. I’m seeing different groups of people. I’ve met loads of really cool people too. Just having cool conversations on the train. That would never happen back home.”

Michael Motamedi travelled with his family from Spain to Switzerland, experiencing the country one train journey at a time. “It was such an amazing trip to be able to take these trains through every part of this country and really be able to breathe in the culture in a way that I’ve never done in any other country. It was also the first time ever that I was actually looking forward to the journey itself.”
