As someone with sensitive skin who has also dealt with my fair share of breakouts, treating acne can get complicated. You’re constantly trying to figure out how often you can use something without messing up your skin. Every night? Every third night? Do you stop when your skin gets dry and flaky? Do you push through irritation?

Most treatments take a fairly aggressive approach. They can help clear a breakout, but they can also disrupt your skin barrier if you're not careful, which can lead to redness, irritation, and most frustratingly, even more breakouts!!

So you end up stuck in this reactive cycle, constantly trying to manage your skin instead of getting ahead of the problem. My ideal treatment was something more proactive and supportive - something you could actually use every day, something that helps keep skin clear, calm and comfortable.

So I made Continuum! It’s designed to gently support skin through the entire breakout cycle: helping reduce the likelihood of new breakouts, calming visible redness and irritation while they’re active, and reducing the look of marks that can linger afterward.

The formula uses encapsulated salicylic acid, which releases slowly over time to keep pores clear without the harshness you often get from traditional salicylic acid treatments. I also included an azelaic acid derivative to help regulate excess oil, calm redness, and reduce the look of post-blemish marks.

And to support the skin barrier, I added a ceramide analogue along with allantoin to help reinforce your skin’s natural lipids and calm irritation while skin recovers. And finally, fullerenes, a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce oxidative stress - something that can make breakouts appear more inflamed and slow to resolve.
