I started FEIT after spending years in the footwear industry and seeing firsthand how shoes were increasingly being made with more synthetic materials, more automation, more volume and shorter product cycles.
I wanted to find another way.
For me, that meant returning to nature, traditional construction and skilled makers. Making fewer things, making them well, and designing them to be worn for a long time.
The All Black Suede Latex Collection continues that journey. Each pair is handmade and poured from latex soles and suede uppers locally in Italy from start to finish.
I believe we should think more carefully about the materials we put on our bodies and what we eventually leave behind on the earth we walk on. Moving away from petroleum-based synthetics and toward natural materials has been central to FEIT from the beginning.
Nearly two decades later, that remains the work.
