Three other wines were released today:

Suduiraut looks set to be one of the great sweet wines of the vintage, combining huge concentration with freshness and precision.

Pedesclaux continues its rise in Pauillac with a polished, energetic style that massively overdelivers at the price,

while Lafon-Rochet captures the more classical side of Saint-Estephe with graphite, lavender and refined structure.

Cheval Blanc 2025:

We initially sold out of Cheval Blanc 2025, but thanks to a strong relationship with the winery, we’ve managed to secure a further 9 bottles.

To give an idea of just how strong demand has been, additional allocations are being discussed in bottles rather than the case parcels we would normally expect for a release of this size. If you’re interested in securing bottles, they are live on the website as first come first served.

This is all we could beg, steal and borrow, and we don’t expect to get any more in this campaign.

A blend of 51% Merlot, 45% Cabernet Franc and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2025 Château Cheval Blanc stands out once again as among the finest wines of the vintage in Bordeaux. Wafting from the glass with a deep bouquet of dark berries and cherries mingled with notions of blood orange and iris, it's full-bodied, layered and concentrated, with terrific mid-palate density, sweet tannins and a long, vibrant, violet-inflected finish. With its striking aromas, intensity of flavor and resolutely classical proportions (checking in at 12.7% alcohol and pH of 3.76), the 2025 gives every indication of being one of the great Cheval Blancs of the decade.

Suduiraut 2025

96-98 Points | Neal Martin, Vinous

The 2025 Suduiraut is pure Sémillon, picked mostly after October 10 (there was a first picking of more passerillé fruit that constituted around 10% of the blend). It is mainly from the second trie, with a last picking at the end of October. There were a total of 10 days of picking. This has a fragrant bouquet with wild honey, linseed, saffron and light orange pith scents that blossom in the glass, though I would not describe it as intense, but very pure. The palate is well balanced, with a viscous opening, very pure botrytised fruit and a killer line of acidity. There is no heaviness here, and despite the 158 g/L residual sugar, it feels light on its toes. Oh yes.

Lafon-Rochet 2025

94-96 Points | Vinous, Antonio Galloni

The 2025 Lafon-Rochet is classy and polished, as it so often is. Readers will find a Saint-Estèphe of nuance, delineation and understated class. Vibrant blue/purplish fruit, lavender, sage and menthol are some of the many nuances that begin to open with some coaxing. This is classic Lafon-Rochet all the way. Tasted two times.

Pedesclaux 2025

95 Points | Vinous

Dark aromas on the nose, fragrant purple flowers, tobacco, cedar, liquorice and black cherries – smells quite medicinal. Round and so well textured – smooth and friendly, this has such a gorgeous dollop of red fruit on the mid palate, a tiny bit chalky which is so enjoyable with such fine, delicate tannins but it’s the energy that I really like too. So well constructed and balanced. Less ‘strong’ than in some years, this is friendly and compelling. A fabulous wine. Concentration at the end, with the liquorice, tobacco and wet stones. Really quite impressive. 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 3.68pH. 65 IPT. Ageing 50% new oak.
