National Half Staff in Remembrance of 9/11

Flags will be half-staff sunrise to sunset September 11, 2026

By a joint resolution approved December 18, 2001 (Public Law 107-89), the Congress has designated September 11 of each year as “Patriot Day.”

Flags will be lowered at sunrise and raised at sunset. A moment of silence beginning at 8:46 am EST / 7:46 am CST will be observed to honor the victims of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
