Friend,

We need your help – and soon.

The New York legislature is soon considering voting on Assembly Bill A.10074-A/Senate Bill S.9094-A which would ban paraquat – one of the most toxic herbicides still used in the U.S.

Paraquat has been closely linked to Parkinson’s disease and other serious health harms, including cancer, thyroid disease, impaired kidney function, childhood leukemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Because of these risks, more than 70 countries have banned it – including China, where much of it is produced.

Here’s something many people don’t realize: Even the countries that make paraquat have banned it.

But it’s still used here in the U.S.

And still used in New York.

New York has a chance to change that.

Tell your legislators to vote YES on A.10074-A/S.9094-A and protect farmers, farmworkers and local communities.
