The weather is finally turning, which means more time outside — and a real conversation we need to have about one of the most overlooked spots in any skincare routine: your neck and chest.

 

Here's the thing. Those two areas are often the first to reveal sun damage, crepiness, and uneven tone — especially after 35, when skin naturally becomes a little thinner and drier. Leaving them out of your routine is a little like locking the front door and leaving the back wide open. 😬

 

The good news? You don't need to start over. You just need to extend what you're already doing — thoughtfully.

Sunscreen first. Always. ☀️

 

Every dermatologist agrees: there is nothing more important for this area than sunscreen. The neck and chest are among the most sun-exposed spots on your body, and they're the ones we most consistently forget to protect.

 

Broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher, every single morning. UV penetrates through light clothing, through clouds, through your car window. It doesn't take a beach day to do damage.

Then, lock in moisture 💧

 

Neck and chest skin has fewer oil glands than your face, which means it needs a little extra help holding onto hydration. A lotion works, but a richer cream is usually better — especially at night.
