FOUR POINT PUZZLES IS BACK!

Hello!

Lindsay here, the founder and owner of Four Point Puzzles. I have some very exciting news to share.... I have reopened my puzzle company under a new name Parkside! I have always loved creating new puzzles and sharing them with you, so I am incredibly happy to be back. I also have a deep appreciation for this community and am really looking forward to reconnecting with you.

Our online shop is now reopen with some new puzzles, including three bright and colourful paintings by Kristof Santy and some old favourites like our ever popular Moon and Earth puzzles. 

I have written a brief article about our new name, Parkside, it's connection to my home town and what it all means to me.

SARDINES BY KRISTOF SANTY

This 1000 piece, 25" (63.5 cm) square puzzle, titled Sardienen met Kerstomaten (Sardines with Cherry Tomatoes), depicts a sardine tin that has just been opened. By focusing on scale, and only hinting at a human presence, the sardines become anthropomorphized. The large scale and varying perspectives add a playful tone to this colorful piece.

We chatted with Belgian artist Kristof Santy, the painter behind our three new releases to learn more about his inspiration and creative process.

FORK BY KRISTOF SANTY

This 1000 piece, 25" (63.5 cm) square puzzle, titled Fourchette (Fork) was inspired by the food illustrations depicted in Ons Kookboek, a vintage Flemish cookbook beloved by Kristof's mother and part of many Belgian kitchens. In this painting, the meal is laid out in a stylized, symmetrical arrangement which is typical of the food styling from that era, and adds a strong graphic sensibility to the work.

THE STORY BEHIND OUR NEW NAME - PARKSIDE

FISHING BOAT BY KRISTOF SANTY

This 1000 piece, 25" (63.5 cm) square puzzle, titled Vissersboot (Fishing Boat), depicts a fishing boat that has been lost in stormy weather. The dark and foreboding sky is contrasted by a colorful rainbow and the sailor is accompanied by a cast of various sea life. Kristof’s trademark flattened perspective and exaggerated scale of the boat add a playful quality to the piece.
