When it comes to your supplement routine, understanding what’s left out of the formulas you take and why can be just as important as understanding what’s included. At FullWell, we intentionally formulate our multivitamins without Omega-3s and iron, with both these nutrients offered in separate, stand-alone formulas.

Here’s why:

🐟Omega-3s: Beware of multis (prenatal or otherwise) that include Omega-3s masquerading as “complete” formulas. The truth? Omega-3s like DHA and EPA oxidize and become less potent over time. When they’re included in a multivitamin, they aren’t protected, meaning their stability and potency can be compromised. Potency and ingredient quality are our top priorities, which is why we provide Omega-3s separately. It also gives you the flexibility to adjust Omega-3 intake based on your personal needs.

🩸Iron: A one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work with Iron, which is why it shouldn’t be in your multi. Iron can interfere with the absorption of other critical nutrients in your multivitamin, too. Beyond that, iron needs and tolerance vary significantly by individual and lifestage. We suggest monitoring your iron status with your healthcare practitioner. If you do need supplemental iron, take it separately in an appropriate dose based on your needs.
