Hi -,
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for our recent webinar, Supporting Your Client Through Menopause.
It was a meaningful conversation centered on how perimenopause and menopause can affect the skin, hair, and overall treatment experience — and how, as service providers, you can feel more informed, confident, and empowered in supporting your clients through it.
Here’s a quick recap of what you may have missed:
  • Menopause basics: We reviewed the three phases — perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause — and talked about how hormonal shifts during this time can impact the body in visible and emotional ways.
  • Skin changes: We discussed how clients may experience increased dryness, barrier disruption, collagen loss, sensitivity, slower healing, and a greater tendency toward redness or bruising.
  • Hair changes: We also talked about how hormonal changes can lead to thinning scalp hair while increasing facial or body hair growth in areas that may feel new or unexpected for clients.
  • Treatment room adjustments: From patch testing more often to working in smaller sections and adjusting for heat or sensitivity, we covered practical ways to make services more supportive and comfortable.
  • Client communication: One of the most important takeaways was the power of empathy — using reassuring language, creating space for honest conversation, and helping clients feel seen, safe, and understood.
  • Home care support: We also shared supportive product recommendations for dryness, ingrowns, slower healing, firmness concerns, and between-visit maintenance.
More than anything, we hope this webinar helped reinforce that education matters — and that small shifts in knowledge, language, and care can make a meaningful difference in your clients’ experience.
Please keep an eye on your inbox for our next webinar signup. We’re excited to continue bringing you education designed to support both you and your clients in real, practical ways.
Thank you again for being here and for being part of our community.
Warmly,
The Fur Professionals Team
