Fish oil labels don't mention this...
And the answer is a little uncomfortable.
Is this your brand on Milled? Claim it.
Hi there,
Here is something most omega-3 brands would rather you not think about.
The fish in fish oil are usually anchovies, sardines, or mackerel. By the time they reach a processing plant, they have spent their lives swimming through the same oceans we have been dumping mercury, PCBs, and microplastics into for decades.
To make the oil safe enough to sell, manufacturers put it through chemical solvents, heat, and a deodorizing process that strips out the rancid smell.
It works. But it's a lot of work to fix a problem you didn't have to create.
Here is the part that changed how we thought about it.
Fish do not make omega-3. Algae do. Fish eat algae, and the EPA and DHA accumulate in their bodies along with everything else they swim through.
So we went straight to the source.
No mercury. No solvents. No fishy aftertaste or burp. No finishing required. Just algae-grown EPA and DHA in a tiny softgel, the way your body was meant to get it.
It is the only omega-3 the team here actually takes.
If you have been on it a while, this is your nudge to restock.
Warmly,
The Future Kind Team
