The Lexx is a sentient dragonfly-shaped spaceship that starred in a Canadian-German sci-fi TV series Lexx. The massive ship is known to be 10 kilometres long and possess the power to destroy any planet in the two universes.

The living Lexx ship is a combination of organic and machine forms that its author, our contributing 3D artist, successfully depicted in his 3D printing embodiment. The Lexx model features the ship’s large eyes, delicate structures of its tail, and more details that you can read about below!

The giant dragonfly-shaped spaceship was divided into many assembly parts and adapted for different types of 3D printers.

Insect and machine hybrid

The Lexx is a self-aware organic ship composed of both insect and machine components. The author of the 3D printing Lexx spacecraft model gladly met the challenge and worked hard on depicting the features of the ship’s diverse forms and textures.

Elaborate tail

The long tail of the Lexx spacecraft was divided into multiple sections in its FFF/FDM 1.0 version while the sharp tip was separated in order to guarantee a clean 3D printed result and facilitate the assembly process.

Light up the eyes

Lexx Ship model is made hollow for you to introduce LED wiring and light up the thinned eyes of the unearthly spacecraft. A spot to hide the battery is provided inside the body.
