It takes 20-24 lobsters to make what's in your freezer.

DID YOU KNOW? It takes 20-24 whole lobsters to make 4 pounds of lobster meat.

Not a typo. That's the ratio. Claw and knuckle only — the rest doesn't make the cut.

Here's what happens in between: our crew hand-harvests them off Stonington and Spruce Head. Within hours, not days, the crew cooks them, picks the meat by hand, and packs it — two pounds to a bag, enough for 10-12 people. Then it's flash-frozen at -140°F, fast enough that it still tastes like you caught and cooked it yourself, right here on the dock.

That's the part nobody sees. The part that's usually invisible between "wild-caught" on a label and lobster on your plate.

Through Friday, we're pricing the 4-pound pack the same as the 3-pound pack. Same lobsters, same process, one pound of it costs you nothing.
