Taking a break from training talk to catch you up on a dramatic week in the pro game. ⛳

Henley steals Colonial with a finish for the ages 🏆

Russell Henley pulled off one of the gutsiest closes of the season at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Three strokes back late in the final round, he birdied his last three holes of regulation to force a playoff with Eric Cole — then made it four straight on the first extra hole to win his sixth PGA Tour title.

It was a tough one for the runner-up: Cole was minutes from his long-awaited first PGA Tour win before Henley stole it. Defending champ Ben Griffin also came up just short of joining Ben Hogan as the only players to win back-to-back at Colonial. Henley walked away with $1.78 million, the plaid jacket, and a customized 1982 Jeep Scrambler — capping his best result since a T3 at the Masters.

Up next: the Memorial Tournament ⛳

The Tour heads to central Ohio this week for the Memorial Tournament — the season's seventh signature event — hosted by Jack Nicklaus at Muirfield Village Golf Club. It's one of the most prestigious stops on the calendar, with a limited, loaded field. Worth blocking out your weekend for.

The takeaway for the rest of us? ✅

Henley's comeback was a masterclass in staying patient and trusting a repeatable swing under pressure. Those late birdies don't happen without thousands of grooved, consistent reps — the kind that hold up when the heart rate spikes. (More on building that consistency in tomorrow's email.)
