Something I’m grateful for this year: 

The tools I have cultivated to stay resilient. Going to therapy, making time to take care of myself, focusing on the quality of my communication. And the time I’ve spent with my loved ones. 

A simple wellness habit to pick up in January: 

Drinking this Morning Skin Superpowder once a day—it’s got vitamins C and E, CoQ10, zeaxanthin, and more skin-supporting ingredients. And it tastes great—a mix of oranges and lemon verbena. I really believe in the intersection of ingestible beauty and topical beauty. And that the quality of your skin is reflecting what’s going on inside the body. 

Memorable meals from 2023: 

Most recently, dinner at DiDi in West Hollywood. The newly reopened I Sodi on Bleecker Street in New York is great. But the best meal I had all year was probably at Thai Diner in NYC. 

A play I loved: 

I saw Stereophonic, this amazing play at Playwrights Horizons, about a rock band in the 1970s. It’s a play, not a musical, but there’s a lot of music in it as it’s set in a recording studio. 

Current mocktail of choice: 

I’ve been having this fake tequila from CleanCo—it’s called Clean T. It’s pretty good. 

Last Google search: 

“Rules for plural and possessive names.” 

Last brand I invested in: 

I think Vyrao. It’s a very cool brand that takes more of a holistic well-being approach to fragrance. The scents are supposed to help inspire positive emotion, joy. They’re beautiful. I’m so glad we’re carrying on goop now, and we have another new scent from Vyrao coming in January. 

What else is new in the goop shop: 

KALLMEYER is a chic new brand for us that our fashion team is excited about. And Monika Blunder is a makeup artist and founder that I introduced our beauty team to. Her color-care products are really good and just very me. They’re very natural-looking. This is a really nice lip color. 

Where in the world I want to travel in 2024: 

The South Pacific.

Oldest piece of furniture and wish list piece of furniture: 

I have an Edward Wormley for Dunbar sofa that I bought for my first house in the ’90s. And I’m eyeing two table lamps from the Future Perfect: this one and this one.

The goop Beauty product I’m using the most often: 

Probably our face oil. It’s made with nine nutrient-dense oils. It’s so restorative. The clinicals on it are amazing. I probably go through two bottles a month. Which is not necessary or common, but I just really love our face oil. 

What about the Sex Oil: 

Oh my god, it’s so great. The best thing about the Sex Oil is that it smells spicy and sexy. And it has the perfect viscosity, so it doesn’t run through your fingers and get on the bed. 

Current nail polish color: 

Natural. Boring! My most common nail polish color is some variation of Ballet Slippers or a really dark red in winter, or sometimes a bright red. 

Current ear and ring stack rotation: 

I love the Sammy Fan Earrings for up on my cartilage. I wear the Nap Earrings from Maison Miru—they’re designed to be more comfortable to keep on while you’re sleeping. And I usually have on something from Anita Ko and Sheryl Lowe.

For rings, I always have on my Oura ring and a couple rings from JAR in Paris. And then I rotate the others. I have signet rings from G. Label Jewelry. I love Brent Neale, Kim Dunham, and Jenna Blake, too.

What I’m going to be wearing for the rest of winter: 

This is my court cardigan that went a little viral. We’ve brought it back to G. Label, but you don’t need to get sued to wear it. 

Great 2023 hotel stays: 

Maison de la Luz in New Orleans is such a cool hotel. The Carlyle in New York City is always pretty great; I stayed there recently. Oh, and I stayed at the Colony in Palm Beach for the opening of the goop villa there. The hotel is really cute, very retro-chic. I didn’t actually stay in the goop villa—I was in Villa Jasmine. 

Exhibitions that have moved me: 

Oh, so many. When I was in New York, I went to the Shah Garg Foundation’s exhibition Making Their Mark. It looks like it’s open until January 27—go if you can. It’s all art from contemporary women artists. At the entrance, there are these colorful ribbons with feminist lines, like “dismantle patriarchy,” and you get to take one.

I saw two standout exhibitions at the Whitney: the Ruth Asawa (goes until January 15) and the Henry Taylor (goes until January 28). Tracey Emin at White Cube was a phenomenal show (that’s in New York until January 13). And A Foreigner Called Picasso at Gagosian was amazing (on view until February 10).

And I like looking back at the last photo below, from the Prada Foundation in Milan—it means “dream factory.”
