Dear Friend,
This October, Louise Hay would have turned 100.
I’ve been thinking about how to honor a life like hers. It’s hard, because she always cared more about helping people than about being celebrated.
From the beginning, Louise envisioned Hay House as a home for transformational teachers—and for the people whose lives could be changed by their work.
When I joined Hay House in 1988, we had three books and five tapes. It was a very small company, but Louise’s vision was already much bigger than the office we were sitting in. Over the years, I’ve watched that vision reach millions of people around the world.
Some of my favorite memories are still from our live events, where you could see the work happening in real time. Louise used to remind audiences that the speakers onstage might have very different stories, but they were often talking about some of the same basic truths. Each teacher had come to those truths through different life experiences and found their own way of sharing them.
I always loved that, because sometimes it takes hearing an idea from a different person, or through a different story, before it really lands. We may have heard it many times, but then someone explains it from another angle, and suddenly we hear it in a new way.
That’s one reason I think Louise would have loved Empower Your Life.
On October 3 and 4, we’re bringing together 16 Hay House authors and teachers in Glendale, California, for a weekend of live talks, new perspectives, and ideas you can take home with you.
But as Louise would have wanted, we’re not reserving these lessons only for people who can make it to California. We’ve decided to add a free online livestream of the event, so you can join us from wherever you are. Follow this link to learn more.

Many of these speakers have been favorites of the Hay House community for years. Others may be new to you. That’s part of what makes a gathering like this so special.
You may come to hear a teacher you’ve loved for a long time and discover that the message you most needed came from someone completely unexpected.
Empower Your Life is also a chance to step away from your normal routine, spend time with people who care about the same things you do, and give yourself some room to think about what comes next.
I’d love to see you at Empower Your Life, either in person or online. I think Louise would have been happy to see so many people coming together around the work she cared about so deeply.
That feels like a fitting way to honor the vision she started nearly four decades ago.
