Dear Friend,

A year or two after I started working at Hay House, about 35 years ago, Louise had an idea.

That happened a lot with Louise.

This particular idea was to bring several self-help and spiritual teachers together for a live event. Today that might not sound unusual, but at the time, as far as I knew, nobody was really doing anything like it.

Louise invited Dr. Wayne Dyer, Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, and a few other well-known speakers to join her for an event in Santa Monica, California.

We put over 3,000 seats on sale, and they sold out very quickly.

That event changed everything for Hay House.

Over the next 35 years, we went on to host hundreds of live events around the world. Looking back, those events played a huge role in helping people discover Hay House. They also created a place where people could come together, learn, heal, make friends, and realize they weren't alone in whatever they were going through.

One of my favorite memories from those years was watching Louise and Wayne interact with the people who came to see them.

They didn’t just give a talk and disappear out the back door.

They stayed and signed books for every person who waited in line, no matter how long it took. Sometimes they would be there for two or three hours after the event ended.

I remember one event we held in Dublin, Ireland. We had several thousand people there, and the autograph line seemed endless. One gentleman told Louise that if she stayed long enough to sign his book, he would have a Guinness waiting for her when he finally reached the front of the line.

Louise laughed and kept signing.

A few hours later, he made it to the front and handed her the beer he had promised.

That story always makes me smile because it captures who Louise was. She genuinely cared about people. She listened to them. She believed in them. And she lived the message she taught every day.

This October, we'll be gathering again in that same spirit.

On October 3 and 4 in Glendale, California, we're hosting Empower Your Life: A Weekend of Connection, Insight, and Transformation to celebrate what would have been Louise Hay's 100th birthday.

We'll have 16 Hay House authors joining us, including Cheryl Richardson, Suze Orman, Sonia Choquette, Denise Linn, Dr. Mindy Pelz, Jamie Kern Lima, Brendon Burchard, Jim Kwik, and many others.

I'm also excited that Misha Brown will be joining us. His book, Be Your Own Bestie, has become our most popular new title of 2026.

What I like most about this lineup is that it brings together authors who have been part of the Hay House family for decades alongside newer voices who are helping carry this work forward.

You can learn more about the event here.

To me, that's very much in the spirit of Louise. She always believed that healing and personal growth belonged to everyone, and she was constantly looking for new ways to reach people with that message.

More than anything, I'm looking forward to bringing people together again. That's what made those early Hay House events so special, and it's what I hope people will experience again this October.

If you'd like to join us in Glendale, I'd love to see you there. I think Louise would have loved this event, and I'm looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday with all of you.

Have a wonderful week ahead.

Wishing You the Best,
Reid Tracy
CEO, Hay House

P.S. We only have about 1,000 seats available for Empower Your Life on October 3 and 4 in Glendale, California, celebrating Louise Hay's 100th birthday. If you'd like to join us, click here to reserve your pass.
