Just steps away from the hustle and bustle of Commercial Street in Provincetown, Helltown Kitchen brings a blend of Caribbean, Latin American, Mediterranean, and New England fare to their menu. One minute you’re enjoying a Mediterranean Omelet for breakfast, the next you’re savoring a velvety Lobster Mac and Cheese while eyeing Coconut Cod or Camarones al Ajillo. Their passion for bold flavors comes through in every dish, with the space itself making the evening memorable by striking that sweet spot between a cozy hideaway and a night out buzzing with energy. If you only have a moment to stop in for a quick bite, try to make it during happy hour and hit their raw bar and a few of their small plates and snacks, but no matter what be sure to stop in.

Heading closer to the Montauk area and into the heart of Sag Harbor, Sagtown Coffee is the kind of place where a quick coffee run easily turns into a slow, sunny morning with a cup and a book. Known for quality coffee, friendly staff, and a warm neighborhood feel, they serve up fresh pastries and a wide range of breakfast sandwiches, wraps and bowls alongside their caffeine to get your morning started. Whether you’re grabbing an iced latte before the beach or settling in with avocado toast and watching the dogs walk by on Main Street, it quickly becomes a favorite spot to begin your day, but it doesn’t have to stop there. They also have Sagtown Après that brings wine, beer, and small plates into the mix Thursday through Saturday. It’s the kind of spot that not only makes you want to linger, but it pulls you back in for a nightcap.

TENET is a lifestyle and clothing shop where fashion, design, and art all come together in a way that’s elevated and effortless. You can browse everything from designer clothing to unisex fragrances and beauty products to jewelry and candles and even home décor. They specifically carry one of my favorite brands, Aesop, and anytime I’ve forgotten to pack any sort of skin or hair care item, they’ve had me covered. (Okay, sometimes I didn’t forget anything but I still love to grab one of their products when I have the chance to in person). Whether you’re searching for a button-down for cocktails by the water, a new signature scent, or a great gift to bring to friends or family back home, they’ll have it and more right inside their doors.

A short ferry ride north of Sagtown Coffee to Shelter Island is Black Cat Books, an independent bookstore packed with thousands of used, rare, and collectible titles. From classic literature and art books to signed first editions and hard-to-find vintage treasures, it’s the perfect place for any serious collector or casual browser looking for their next beach read. There’s something exciting about wandering through the stacks and not knowing what you’ll find, just seeing what catches your eye and finding a surprise new favorite hidden on their shelves. The cozy atmosphere and incredibly knowledgeable owners make every visit enjoyable, while the ever-changing inventory has each visit feeling different than the last. For book lovers this is one of those places that turns a quick stop into an afternoon quest and somehow always has you carrying more books home than you planned.

Our last feature was too good to pass up, so we’re hopping over to Rhode Island for a fun and creative activity. Studio Glob just outside of Providence is a DIY pottery studio that offers wheel throwing, hand-building classes, and single-session workshops that are perfect for beginners, a date night, a fun meetup with friends or anyone looking to switch up their weekend activities. With a welcoming low-pressure atmosphere that makes it easy to relax, focus, and unplug for a few hours, their casual one-day classes might be just the thing you need to kick back while also leaving with something handmade. Plus if you fall in love with the space you can dive deeper with a studio membership and independent work time, taking your newfound love of pottery to the next level.
