Our first conversation takes us to New York's NoMad district, where Float Studio has designed a workplace centred on openness, collaboration and carefully considered furniture. Referencing the building's 1970s architecture, the project combines custom-designed elements with curated pieces to create spaces that support the way people work today.
We spoke with the studio about furniture as a catalyst for connection, designing for behaviour rather than hierarchy, and the evolving role of the workplace.
