The original Harrington jacket—the Baracuta G9—was synonymous with golf. The “G,” as the story goes, simply stood for golf, and the versions shipped to Japan were known as “swing jackets.” With a comfortable fit and a wind-resistant body, it was designed in the 1930s to help English and eventually American golfers play through temperamental coastal weather. We wanted to honor the pioneering windbreaker’s rich history while putting our own even more weather-resistant spin on it. That’s how we landed on the Waxed Harrington Jacket. Built from a dry-finish waxed cotton from Halley Stevensons, Scotland’s premier fabric mill since 1864, it’s protective without being techy and looks more refined than our other waxed jackets. The shell sheds water, but a micro-flannel body lining and corduroy collar keep things comfortable on the inside.

The chukka, which takes its name from polo—a “chukker” is polo’s equivalent to a “quarter” in other sports—proved itself everywhere from British barracks to the polo fields to World War II-era desert combat zones. Astorflex’s new Bareflex Chukka keeps the time-tested silhouette intact, but rebuilds its bestselling boot around a wider, naturally shaped footbed as a nod to its dynamic roots. The ergonomic design gives your toes room to splay naturally, reducing pressure points and fatigue during long days on your feet. Handcrafted in Italy from hardwearing bovine leather, with a memory foam insole, and a flexible natural crepe outsole, their new design offers instant, uncramped comfort without sacrificing style.
