Summer always feels a little more spontaneous to me. You leave the house for one thing and somehow end up somewhere completely different a few hours later — dinner turns into drinks, a weekend trip turns into an extra night, a beach bag becomes your everyday bag for three months.
I think the best summer bags are the ones that can move with all of that. Easy enough to throw on without thinking too hard, but special enough to make even the simplest outfit feel considered.
A few styles I keep reaching for lately:
The Micro Ring Bag
The smallest bag in our ring bag collection, but somehow still enough. I especially love it in the summer because it keeps you from carrying things you probably didn’t need in the first place. It’s become my go-to for dinners, weddings, and nights when I want to when I want something that feels special but still easy.
I always come back to metallics in the summer. I especially love the contrast next to natural fibers and a neutral outfit. Give me all white all day with one of these two bags and I'm set.
Work, but make it summer. La Corsa has that polished, structured feeling of the Autostrada, just lighter and easier. It fits more than you’d expect (including a Kindle), and the longer strap makes it especially useful while traveling.
This one screams summer to me. Maybe it’s the woven leather, maybe it’s the oversized shape, but it has that same easy feeling as a really good market tote or beach bag — just polished enough to bring back into the city. It softens beautifully over time and somehow looks better the more lived-in it becomes.
