🤩 25 Sneaker Releases to Look Forward to in 2025
TLDR:
We’re not even a month into 2025 and there are already plenty of
sneaker drops to get ready for, so here's a list featuring anticipated
collaborations, exciting new silhouettes and the return of many fan
favorite looks.
Why
It Matters: Between official reveals, runway shows, leaked
pairs and rumored releases, we’ve rounded up all of the key storylines
to be aware of (as of January 22, at least). Nike and Jordan Brand are
known to have their projects leak the earliest, which explains their
dominant presence on the list. In addition to this, the release dates
and periods are subject to change. Dive into the complete roster,
starting with Nike and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital's 20th
collection of kicks created by patient-designers. The Jumpman team is
again celebrating the Lunar New Year by assembling a Year of the
Snake-themed collection. As Nike continues to bring back silhouettes
from its expansive archive, the Air Max Craze is next up to spend time
in the spotlight.

🏈 Kendrick Lamar Taps Willy Chavarria for Super Bowl Halftime
Collection
TLDR:
Just as the press was beginning to settle on his brilliant PFW
debut, the Mexican-American designer gave the industry another reason to
publish his name in bold text: an upcoming ready-to-wear collaboration
with Kendrick Lamar tied to his upcoming Super Bowl halftime
performance.
Why
It Matters: The duo, who first connected two years ago when
the GNX rapper sported Chavarria’s designs on his Big Steppers Tour, has
crafted a limited-edition collection of fan-inspired gear to celebrate
the monumental show. Notably, the collaboration is a three-way
partnership between the NFL, Lamar’s pgLang label and Chavarria. The
honorary lineup’s hero piece is a slightly cropped, balloon-sleeved
satin jacket with “KLamar” embroidery on the chest and “g.NATIONAL”
lettering (winking to Lamar’s forthcoming Grand National Tour with SZA
later this year) on the back.

🪨 POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF) Presents Complete FW25 Footwear Collab
Preview
TLDR:
It’s only been a couple of days since we first took a look at the
FW25 footwear collaborations from POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF). Now, the
brand has shared a preview of additional footwear due to drop later this
year.
Why
It Matters: Earlier this week, Dongjoon Lim, the founder of
POST ARCHIVE FACTION (PAF), posted photos of two unreleased footwear
models on his Instagram stories. The next chapter of the brand’s
partnership with On sees not only the Cloudmonster 2 appear in new
colorways, but the Cloudventure Peak looks to be returning as well. On
top of this, the new collaboration with Clarks on the Wallabee Boot
features a beige colorway alongside the gray one. Instead of the usual
rubber pebble crepe sole, this version seems to be fitted with ones that
resemble the ridged Vibram® sole used for the Wallabee Gore-Tex models.

✈️ Rick Owens Gives RIMOWA's Cabin Roller a Bronze Patina
TLDR:
Following a brief tease at Rick Owens‘ FW25 Paris presentation,
official images of the designer’s RIMOWA collaboration have landed.
Why
It Matters: The inaugural collaboration between the luxury
labels wraps RIMOWA’s signature carry-on Cabin roller in a patinated
finish, reflecting the designer’s gritty industrial aesthetic. The
limited-edition collaboration includes only 500 numbered pieces, each
with a completely unique patina developed through a meticulous manual
pigment application. Over time each suitcase will gain a unique
character as the finish continuously deepens. In the true spirit of Rick
Owens’ material palette, the interior is all-leather (a first-ever for
RIMOWA) and the luggage comes with a hair-on cowskin tag. Though both brands usually remain on side of branding, the suitcase includes custom nylon webbing embossed with a special RIMOWA x Rick Owens logos applied to the leather tabs.

🐍 Here Are the Best Red Packets for Chinese New Year 2025
TLDR:
The Snake has slithered in to replace the Year of the Dragon and
brands have once again unveiled their luxurious takes on the traditional
red packets. In celebration of Chinese New Year, Hypebeast has rounded
up a selection of envelopes from some of the most notable brands and
fashion houses.
Why
It Matters: The traditional colors of red and/or gold remain
the more popular motif amongst the envelopes, although offerings from
BAPE, Dolce & Gabbana, Montblanc, Instagram, Longchamp and TEAM WANG
infuse designs and hues of purple camo, gradient blues, bright florals,
fuchsia, and black geometric patterns. McDonald’s and K11 deliver
playful graphics to front their red packets, while the likes of Loewe
and KENZO incorporate textured detailing for the season. With 2025 being
the Year of the Snake, the reptile’s limbless movements are heavily
depicted on the designs of Breitling, Hublot, RIMOWA, Tory Burch, Isabel
Marant, Louis Vuitton and more.
