Hi Friend,
It’s hard to believe as we’re headed to our umpteenth graduation open house this week, that before we know it, small groups will relaunch, classrooms will fill back up, and ministries across the church will be getting ready to welcome people back from their summer vacations.

Because we know summer will go faster than any of us want it to, ChurchSource is starting our Back-to-Church Sale now, so you have more time to get your ducks in a row for fall. June a great time to beat the rush and prayerfully plan for your fall Bible studies.
Not sure where to start? Check out our staff picks with these handy one-pagers that have all the info you’ll need to quickly decide which studies will work best for your group.
This season is also a great time to check your classroom Bible inventory. Summer outreach events, camps, VBS, and student gatherings always remind me how important it is to have extra Bibles on hand—especially for guests, new believers, and families who may not own one yet. Don’t miss an opportunity to place God’s Word directly into someone’s hands. (We’ve got some nice options starting at just $3, so you can really stretch your budget.)
My prayer for you this summer is that God would bless all the preparation happening behind the scenes. The research and planning you’re doing today is helping create opportunities for people to encounter Jesus in the months ahead.
Grace and peace,
Eric ChurchSource Account Manager & Youth Pastor

Steal This Idea: Discipling Girls to Go Against the Crowd
and Follow Jesus Boldly |
I’ve always had a little bit of a rebellious streak in me.
Not in the “cause trouble just because you can” kind of way. But ever since I was young, I’ve never really liked following the crowd if I knew the crowd was headed the wrong direction. I’ve always wanted my life to mean something bigger than just fitting in.
And honestly? I think a lot of girls feel that way deep down.
We live in a world constantly telling us who we should be, what we should look like, what we should chase, and how we should act if we want people to approve of us. The pressure is exhausting. Everywhere you turn, there’s another voice competing for your attention.
Another trend. Another expectation. Another version of truth.
But what if following Jesus means walking a completely different direction? What if the real rebellion today is staying faithful to God? That’s what I’ve been learning. And it’s why I wrote Rebel. Because being a Christian often means we look like rebels in the eyes of the world. But then, that’s how Jesus lived too.
Jesus Was the Ultimate Rebel
When people hear the word "rebel," they usually picture someone breaking rules or rejecting authority. But Jesus rebelled in a completely different way.
- He rebelled against darkness.
- He rebelled against hypocrisy.
-
He rebelled against fear, pride, and the lies of the Enemy.
He touched people others avoided. He defended the broken. He spoke truth even when it made people angry. He refused to water down truth just to make people comfortable.
And if we truly follow Him, our lives will look different too.

Steal This Idea for Youth Ministry or Book Club |
Gather your girls for an honest conversation about what it means to follow Jesus when culture is pulling them in the opposite direction. Talk openly about comparison, social media pressure, fear of rejection, and the temptation to compromise just to fit in. Invite students to identify lies they’ve believed about themselves and replace them with truth from God’s Word about their identity in Christ.
Rebel works especially well as a girls’ small group study, retreat resource, or discussion-based discipleship tool for middle school and high school students.

Discover the divine love story written for us. |
Bible teacher Lisa Harper unveils an eye-opening truth: This ancient, often-misunderstood book that sometimes reads like a racy romance novel is actually a passionate declaration of our Creator Redeemer's relentless love for His people. With her signature blend of humor, deep biblical insight, and raw vulnerability, Lisa peels back the layers of history and allegory to reveal Jesus as the Divine Bridegroom who didn't just come to deliver us—He delights in us!
Whether you're single, married, widowed, or have a difficult time with relational intimacy in general, this study will help gently dismantle the self-protective walls around our hearts and create pathways into a much deeper, much richer relationship with the One who loves us more than we can possibly imagine.
