Iran killed his wife.

Now Nissim is raising three children alone.

Two of his children are on the autism spectrum. The morning after Ronit was killed, Nissim left his job to care for them.

He Never Planned to Do This Alone.

Nissim and his wife Ronit raised three children together in Beit Shemesh. Two are on the autism spectrum. They built the daily routines, stability, and support their children needed to thrive.

When Ronit wasn't caring for her family, she volunteered as an EMT first responder, showing up for strangers in their worst moments.

Then everything broke.

On March 1 2026, an Iranian ballistic missile struck the synagogue shelter where the family had taken shelter, minutes from our office.

Ronit stayed behind to help her mother to safety.

Neither survived.

The next morning, Nissim left his job.

He did not choose this. But his children needed him.

Since that morning, he has not returned to work.

Now he carries everything: the routines, the therapy appointments, the bills, the grief, and the daily challenge of helping three traumatized children understand why their mother never came home.

“A woman of valor... her lamp does not go out at night.”

(Proverbs 31:18)

Ronit’s lamp went out.

Nissim is doing everything he can to keep his children’s world from going dark with it.
