Dear -,

The Hebrew New Year began on Saturday.

We are now in the Ten Days of Teshuva, the days of repentance leading up to Yom Kippur.

There's still that first-week-of-the-year feeling, where everything feels unwritten and possible.

That feeling has a short shelf life. By the time the holidays end, most of us are back to exactly who we were before they started.

Which is why the real challenge isn't making a resolution. It's building something small enough to keep doing once the excitement wears off.

Back in 2018, we published The Israel Bible Daily Inspirations with that idea in mind: make daily Bible reading simple enough that you can actually stick with it.

So I decided it was time to bring it back. I think we all need it right now.

Nobody I know has a spare hour. So Daily Inspirations asks for ten minutes: one Bible verse a day in English, Hebrew, and transliteration, with a short study note drawn from The Israel Bible.

Ten minutes today. Ten minutes tomorrow. Before long, you've built a habit that carries you through the year.

But here's what makes it different.

It follows the Hebrew year. You read about the shofar when we blow the shofar. You reach Tisha B'Av and learn what the Jewish people mourn. Month by month, you experience the Jewish year the way we live it here in Israel.

And this new edition includes three years of dates, 2026, 2027, and 2028, alongside the Hebrew calendar. So even though Rosh Hashana has passed, you haven't missed your chance.

Open it. Find that day’s date. Start there.

By this time next year, you'll know where you are in the Hebrew year and what that moment means.

The new year has already begun. Start the habit that can carry you through it.
