Mourning, reconciliation, and hope

For the eighth year, Christians and Jews will come together to recognize the tragedies that have befallen the Jewish people on the 9th of Av and to confront the painful history that has often separated our communities.

This day is not only about mourning the destruction of the Temples and the disasters of the past. It is also a call to examine what has weakened our connection with God, Jerusalem, and the Land of Israel—and to embrace the hope of restoration promised in Scripture.
