What was it about photography that appealed to you as a medium and made you start down that path?

It's all about that one-of-a-kind moment. Especially in this day and age where everything is always in motion... the camera manages to stop and capture something. Photographs are unique moments that tell stories: I find that romantic–and still incredibly exciting.

Your work has quite a broad spectrum. What kind of subjects do you like to photograph most: landscapes, architecture, people or objects?

Definitely people. Every person is different and so every shoot and every shot with models is a new, exciting challenge for me. I think it's great to build trust and a relationship with the person I'm photographing. Because the goal is a result that makes both parties equally happy.

What advice would you give to someone who wants to start photography?

Grab your camera, borrow a camera, or use your smartphone. Then just start! Someone once told me that the best camera is always the one you have with you, and honestly that's true, because it's not about your equipment, it's about the moment you want to capture. Find your style and trust that everything is a process. I, too, have a long way to go...
