Dutch Bulbs Are Better–and Ours Are the Best

Regardless of what you may have recently heard or read, Dutch bulbs are still the best bulbs. At K. van Bourgondien, our Holland-grown bulbs are shipped directly to our coolers in Lewisburg, Ohio, where they are stored at optimal conditions before being delivered to you. However, bulbs sold at big-box stores or garden centers are often kept too warm, which can kill the flowers inside them. This is often why their tulips, for example, don't bloom in their first season.

You should also know that we're not just an importer. We staff an office in Holland, so we work closely with our growers there and visit them frequently. We also do test plantings on both sides of the ocean.
