Synchron Classic: a timeless icon mixing comfort and technology

The category of shoes known as the Synchron first made its debut in 1980. As the assortment got bigger over the years, it was always easy to recognize the group by the unorthodox lacing system in the toebox. The research and design team wanted to provide a better fitting upper and came up with the innovative lacing system for added comfort and durability.

The Synchron is one of Karhu most unorthodox innovations. The Research and Design team met together to create a lacing system for a best top fitting to runners. The Synchron lacing goes diagonally across the toebox and wraps your feet inside the shoe securely. The first member of the Synchron family saw the light in 1980 and the family expanded over the years to the end of 1990.

The Synchron Classic, the 90s edition within the Synchron category, remains a comfortable model featuring an air cushion unit and a stable heel cap. This season, Karhu has introduced new colourways of the Synchron Classic and you can shop them below.
