Launching: Kasperi x British Millerain – The first ever leather and fabric Kasperi.
After seven years of testing, travelling and refining, we are releasing our first ever fabric and leather backpacks: the Kasperi x British Millerain Fold Top and Small Fold Top in Field Twill.
It has been shown, tested, handled and discussed at Heritage Post, Pitti Uomo and Denim Days. The response was always the same: this one should be made.
So we finally made it. And we could not be happier with them.
The new Kasperi x British Millerain pieces bring together British tradition in hardwearing cotton fabrics with Finnish utilitarian design and craftsmanship.
British Millerain is based in Greater Manchester, a city once known as Cottonopolis, the historic centre of the cotton industry. Their twill fabrics continue a long tradition of treating natural cloth for practical use in weather, travel and work.
The Field Twill we chose is an 18 oz dry-waxed cotton fabric made for bags and luggage. It is dense, structured and shower-proof, with a dry, practical handfeel. It gives the Fold Top a lighter body, while keeping the same leather frame, repairable construction and long-use character Kasperi is known for.
Familiar, but not quite like anything we have made before. The first batch is limited. We are making around 25–40 pieces in June, and the rest will follow in July and August.
We are also revealing the pieces live this weekend at the 7th Heritage Post Trade Show, May 16–17, 2026, at Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf.
If you are nearby, come say hello, see the bags in person, and meet us there.
Cheers, Michael and the Kasperi team
ps. If you have a Kasperi of your own, bring it with you. We always love seeing well-used bags out in the world.

Brown Small Backpack
|
“The leather of this backpack is marvellous! I cannot stop touching it.
There must be a space-time-warp (a la star trek) inside the backpack because although it does look small from the outside I am able to comfortably fit in my MacBook Pro 16 (M1) and there is still a lot of space left.
If you love fine leather and expert craftmanship and like to suprise everyone by what you can pull out of a seemingly small backpack, then, by all means, get one!!!”
