You know that feeling when you emerge from a difficult time in your life that you didn’t quite realize was hard until it was over? Like, for instance, a year of lockdown? Or even (in my case) an unending winter? And then suddenly you’re out of it and it’s just the biggest relief, like a huge weight has been lifted that you didn’t know you were carrying?
Well, welcome to springtime. As I’ve personally made the switch from my heavyweight coat to my denim jacket-plus-hoodie, I’ve also noticed how good it feels to do so. The truth is, I didn’t realize how much those short, cold nights had been getting to me until they were gone, and I couldn’t be happier to embrace the warmer weather alongside a fresh outlook. I am more ready than ever to look good, feel good, and soak up that sunshine.
