One year ago today, we lost Charlie Kirk.
If you ever watched him debate, you know he had a gift.
He could take the most heated argument about issues like the Second Amendment and turn it into something civil … something thoughtful, and something human.
He didn't shout people down.
He listened, and asked questions.
He found common ground where most people see only division.
And through it all, he never wavered on what mattered most:
Liberty.
Charlie believed that freedom isn't just something we celebrate on the Fourth of July … it's something we defend every single day.
He knew that an armed citizenry isn't a threat to peace — it's the hinge freedom swings on.
He understood that the Second Amendment isn't about hunting or sport shooting — it's about protecting everything we hold sacred from those who would take it away.
I think about that a lot…
Because at the end of the day, Charlie and I believed the same thing:
It is our responsibility to protect all that is good from all that is bad.
Not because we're looking for a fight, but because we know evil exists.
And when it comes for the people we love, we don't get to stand on the sidelines.
Charlie knew that balance — between being peaceful and being prepared.
Between avoiding conflict and refusing to back down when it matters most.
He believed in liberty over perceived safety.
In personal responsibility over government control.
In the right of good people to defend themselves and their families without asking permission.
And he believed that a well-armed citizenry is the greatest protector of freedom this world has ever known.
I believe that too.
Charlie didn't just defend that idea — he lived it.
He proved you could hold the line and still be human.
That's the legacy worth carrying forward.
Protect what's good → Do it with resolve → Do it with grace.
Rest in peace, Charlie.
