Four years ago, John Lenz was a high school teacher and soccer coach in Wisconsin.
He didn't own a firearm.
When he and his wife moved to a farm about twenty minutes from anywhere … it finally hit him:
If anything ever happened out there, HE was his family's first line of defense.
That realization sent him on what he calls a "massive journey" — not just to get armed, but to actually get ready.
His first concealed carry class reframed everything.
He'd always assumed the only question was: is this legal?
His instructor shared the reality:
Legal and legally justified are two very different things.
Legal justification isn't something YOU get to decide in the moment. It's sorted out afterward — by attorneys, a DA's office, sometimes a jury.
That single distinction is what pushed him past "I have a permit" and into actually training for the before, during, and after of self-defense.
Today, John is a USCCA® Certified Instructor who trained roughly 2,000 people last year.
I asked him to host Wednesday’s “From Gun Owner to Protector” training because he’s a GREAT example of an everyday American that’s taken protection into his own hands.
He told me this content is what he wishes someone had handed him on day one.

The bottom line is this:
Having your permit, and being a Protector aren't the same thing.
You could take the next few months (or years) to figure this out alone … or you can join us this Wednesday and let us walk you through it step-by-step.
Here’s the link to save your spot.

P.S. - If there’s anyone who can help everyday gun owners level-up, it’s John Lenz.
That’s why I’m grateful he’s hosting our “From Gun Owner to Protector” workshop next week.
If you’re serious about protecting what you’ve built, make it a priority to attend.
