HOW TO FREEZE FRESH CORN OFF THE COB

Want to save summer corn for colder months? Here’s an easy way to freeze sweet corn after removing it from the cob.

1. Husk & Clean
2. Remove husks and silk, then rinse the corn thoroughly.
3. Blanch the Corn
4. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add ears of corn and boil for 3–4 minutes.
5. Cool Quickly
6. Transfer corn immediately into ice water to stop cooking.
7. Cut Off the Kernels
8. Use the Kuhn Rikon Corn Tool to safely and easily remove kernels from the cob.
9. Dry & Pack
10. Pat kernels dry and spread them on a baking sheet to freeze individually before transferring to freezer bags or containers.
11. Freeze & Enjoy Later
12. Store frozen corn for up to 8–12 months for soups, chowders, casseroles, tacos, salads, and side dishes.
