"The returning Winter light is a vestige, a reminder of old ways, and old prayers. Pan-ancestral traditions have a common thread of praying for refreshment and renewal. Often these requests center around the dawn dew or the return of the Sun.

As we step into longer days, I invite you to ritualize your yearly intentions alongside the solar cycle with a home altar. Corners of homes are symbolically significant as they can represent the intersection between worlds. The cross roads. This is why the corner of the room is a popular place for altars. A space undisturbed. A ripe invitation for the unseen.

European and Egyptian pagan traditions awarded chamomile the powerful position as a plant representing and sent as a gift from male Sun Gods. With a flower head the shape of the Sun, and physically representing the elements of fire and air, chamomile is an archetype of courage in the plant kingdom. Place chamomile on your altar and set a courageous intention connected to the new year and returning Sun, be specific! What do you most desire for personal renewal and transformation?"
