CPD Webinar – End Of Financial Year SMSF Planning 2026

1 CPD Unit – Substantive Law

Do your clients have a Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF)?

If so, now is the ideal time to step back and review their position ahead of the 30 June 2026 year end. A fund review creates an opportunity to proactively contact clients, identify and fix potential issues that may not have been identified during the year, and ensure they have maximised the available strategies before year end.

Join Lindzee-Kate Tagliaferri from Cooper Partners for a one hour webinar that will provide you with a
practical checklist and road map of items to consider for your clients’ SMSFs prior to 30 June 2026, including a review of key changes taking effect  from 1 July 2026, such as the new Division 296 “Better Targeted Super Concessions” rules.

This webinar covers:

  • Minimum pension payments including ensuring payments are made and cleared before 30 June;
  • Optimising contributions, concessional and non concessional, including the 2025–26 cap changes, carry forward opportunities and timing of contributions;
  • Ensuring that record keeping requirements will be met;
  • Identification of issues that may have arisen during the year that need attention before 30 June (in house assets, related party transactions, loan arrangements and other common compliance pitfalls); and
  • Key considerations for the 2026 financial year, including a brief consideration of the incoming Division 296 rules.

This webinar is suitable for lawyers, accountants and other professional advisers, as well as SMSF trustees and is pitched at an intermediate level. It assumes a basic knowledge of SMSFs.

The webinar runs for 1 hour and is being held on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, 12:00 Noon, Eastern Standard Time (10:00 AM WST). The cost is only $120. Click here to register.
