Following a Coordinated Vulnerability Disclosure with Tropic Square, Ledger Donjon published its evaluation of the TROPIC01 secure chip. Using laser fault injection, the team was able to bypass signature checks to execute unauthorized firmware. This research highlights why hardware-level testing is critical. By identifying these physical vulnerabilities, the Donjon’s continuous, proactive security research raises the security bar and directly strengthens the entire ecosystem.
