A New Chapter for Lights Lacquer

This email has been a long time coming.
Over the last several months, our team has been navigating one of the most difficult chapters we’ve experienced as a company. It’s been frustrating, exhausting, and at times heartbreaking to watch an experience we care so deeply about fall short of the standard we set for ourselves.
Last October, we made the decision to move Lights Lacquer into a third-party fulfillment warehouse. The goal was simple: create a better experience for you. We wanted faster shipping, smoother operations, and more room for our small team to focus on developing new products, creating more content, and bringing bigger ideas to life.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go the way we planned.
What was meant to improve the customer experience ended up creating challenges for many of you—and for our team. Orders were delayed, mistakes were made, communication wasn’t where it needed to be, and the experience fell short of the standard we hold ourselves to.
For that, I am truly sorry.
One of the things I’m most proud of at Lights Lacquer is the relationship we’ve built with this community over the years. You trust us with your hard-earned money, your excitement around launches, and your support of our small business. When that experience isn’t what it should be, we take it personally.
Behind the scenes, our team has spent months working tirelessly to make things right. I am incredibly proud of every person who helped us navigate this chapter, especially Customer Service, who showed up every single day to help artists, solve problems, and advocate for our community.
And today, I finally get to share some good news:
We have officially moved into a new fulfillment partner.
This transition has been months in the making, and while no system is ever perfect, we already feel a tremendous difference in how this partnership operates. The communication, support, organization, and overall experience have been everything we hoped for when we originally made the decision to outsource fulfillment.
More importantly, it gives us confidence in what’s ahead.
As we complete this transition, you may notice a few products temporarily showing as sold out on the site.
I wanted to mention this because many of these items aren’t actually sold out—we’re simply waiting for the final inventory transfer from our previous warehouse to arrive at our new fulfillment center.
A few recent favorites, including our Hot Rod Nail Files, are currently caught in that transition and will be returning as soon as inventory is received and processed. We’re working closely with both teams to get everything moved over as quickly as possible, and we appreciate your patience as we finish this final step.
The good news is that once this transition is complete, we’ll finally be able to move forward with the stability, efficiency, and experience we’ve been working toward for so long.
This move allows us to get back to focusing on what we love most: creating products, telling stories, building experiences, and continuing to grow Lights Lacquer into everything we’ve always dreamed it could be.
To everyone who stuck with us through the challenges, extended grace when things weren’t perfect, shared feedback, and continued supporting our team: thank you.
Your patience, kindness, and loyalty mean more than I can ever properly put into words.
This truly feels like the start of a new chapter for Lights Lacquer, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.
We have so many things we’ve been dreaming up, planning, and working on behind the scenes, and I can’t wait to finally share them with you.
