Hey friend!
What would your idea of a perfect evening be? If I could design a series of perfect evenings, one of them would surely look something like this.
I'm freshly everything-showered, I smell like Dans les Bois, I'm wearing a cute but comfortable set (like this one), and I meet up with my best girlfriends at a vibey little lounge. We get tucked into a bougie corner and eat girl dinner — probably an assortment of crudité, lemon ricotta pizza, and yes, we absolutely save room for dessert. (I hope there's creme brûlée!) We sip strawberry jam and basil mocktails (unfortunately, surely, with paper straws), and we finish with cappuccinos. Stories are shared. New memories are made. Our faces hurt from laughing.
What does the lounge look like, you ask? I'll tell you.
I've been to a handful of places like the one I'm about to describe, and every time I feel completely transported. It's got a vintage, probably Palm Beach-inspired aesthetic. Lots of Art Deco, deep greens mixed with pastels. I'm probably sitting in a rattan chair, or on green velvet… there's some combination of tiki music or Billie Holiday or ambient jazz playing through the speakers, and it's definitely covered in plants. Fiddle leaf figs, palms, and ferns of varying sizes and styles. For sure a monstera or two. The lushness of the plants fills the room and transports anyone in their company to a place that feels delightfully far away, yet somehow familiar.
