Cheetah cubs at Whipsnade Zoo

Not one, but seven cheetah cubs!

We are delighted to welcome the arrival of seven spotty cheetah cubs, here at Whipsnade Zoo for the first time in 15 years, marking a huge boost to the international conservation breeding programme for their endangered sub species; the northern cheetah

First-time mum Amira gave birth to four cubs on 18 May, followed by her sibling Zara who delivered a litter of three just five days later. The seven new additions are very special, having been born in the same year that ZSL turns 200 years old, and during Whipsnade Zoo's 95th birthday.

Watch our footage of the adorable cubs and look out for their first steps outdoors soon.

Elephant calf

Name our elephant calf! 🐘

We've loved watching our Asian elephant calf, born on Monday 8 June, find his feet!

You can be part of his story too by entering our prize draw. The winner will help choose his name from a shortlist, spend a morning with our elephant team caring for the herd, and enjoy an overnight stay in our lodges.
