My Great Gathering inspired by the Sardine Run, a wildly exciting natural event that happens off the coast of South Africa. If you haven’t heard of it, I highly recommend watching episode 1 of the Documentary series “Blue Planet” for some amazing visuals.

Sunset Horse is a 3 color screen print. This image is based off a horse and lady bug I painted 5 years ago that lives in my mom’s guestroom. A majority of the women in my family are born in multiples of 12 years apart (my mom, my sister, aunt, grandma, me), making us all born during the Chinese zodiac year of the Horse :-)
