Summer's over. So is the old PMP exam.

1. Grade your reasoning, not your score.

After every practice question, write one line on why each wrong option is wrong. If you can't, you guessed, even if you got it right. Then compare your line to the rationale. The gap between the two is exactly where judgment grows.

2. Run the "first, next, best" check.

Most situational questions turn on sequence and authority, not knowledge. Before you pick, ask: Is this the first thing to do, or a later step? Is it my call, or someone else's? Does it address the cause, or just the symptom? The wrong options usually describe something a good PM would do, just not first.

3. Practice on cases, not just questions.

Single questions train recognition: see a term, match it. Cases train judgment, because you carry context from one decision into the next and live with the consequences of the last one. That's how real projects work, and it's the instinct the new exam's scenarios are looking for.
