| -, why should you ask your child to put this program to the test? Quite simply, it all boils down to RESULTS... The latest study of MathsOnline members saw a whopping 88.7% of students report back an improvement in their maths grades – and most improved their marks as quickly as in their very next exam! And as impressive as these results are, there's even a much greater benefit than just getting better marks. What I like to call "the hidden benefit". And this - is the tremendous growth in confidence and self-belief your child experiences as a direct result of being better at maths. Melinda Gardiner, a school teacher from Queens Park NSW, has two of her own kids using MathsOnline at home: "...the best result of all is that it has given my child with the least confidence in her mathematical ability a better attitude to maths and alleviated some stress caused by not understanding a concept taught at school. Often it will be explained a certain way and she will half get it but after a lesson from MathsOnline all is good – you explain maths so well." I get asked a lot as to how this program came about and why it generates such exceptional results for students, year in, year out. Starting out as a high school maths teacher back in 1989, I found myself doing a lot of after-school tutoring. Lucky for me, I took to it like a duck to water... Teaching maths in school, kids from other classes would ask me: "Mr. Murray, why can't I be in your class?" And when kids were taught by me for one year but got a different teacher the next, parents would be calling the head of maths asking: "Can my daughter go back into Mr. Murray's class? She's not doing well this year, and last year she was doing great." Now there's lots of things I'm not much good at. I'm not a fantastic listener (especially when there's some sport on TV). I'm hopeless at keeping my work area tidy. And I can barely hammer a nail in around the house (just ask my wife Maree). But I figured maths teaching is my most natural talent – it's one thing I'm not only very good at, but have great passion for as well. And I seemed to have this unique gift of making maths pretty simple to understand for kids. So how did I uncover the hidden secrets of making maths simple? I can tell you it certainly wasn't from anything I learnt in my university lectures. And it wasn't from studying books written by so-called educational "experts". My steepest learning curve was when I was tutoring kids outside of school to earn some extra money. Teachers wages are pretty ordinary, and I've got ten kids – yes, I know, I know, I should say it slowly....TEN kids – so I was always looking for some extra cash to make ends meet. Incredible as it may seem, when it comes to teaching maths effectively I discovered more in those few hours every evening tutoring kids than I did in my entire time spent at university. You see at uni I'd always be asking my lecturers to tell me what the best teaching methods were, because often there would be two, three, sometimes four different approaches to tackle the same question. So which method is best? I wanted to know so my future students could achieve fantastic grades based on how I taught them. But my lecturers would all reply much the same: "Pat, just choose one way and stick with it. Doesn't really matter which one because they're not much different." So coming fresh out of uni ready to start teaching in the classroom, this is exactly what I thought. After all, this is what the experts – my university lecturers – were telling me. And all my teaching buddies were thinking the same thing too. Fact is, plenty still do. Only one problem though... It's dead wrong. And it's one of the major reasons why so many of our young kids are failing maths today. Here's why: When it comes to any maths question, generally there's a number of different approaches you can use. And in theory, all these methods will eventually get you the right answer. But the harsh reality is this... For most kids, many of these methods are just too damn hard to understand. No wonder they get frustrated and lose confidence. And then... there's the EASY way to learn. Tutoring a huge number of kids one-on-one for many years, where there was a tremendous range of different ability levels, led me to discover the hidden secrets of how to teach maths simply. Which I found not only worked one-on-one tutoring kids, these methods worked just as well in the classroom where I was teaching 34 students at once. Kids could finally understand things easily where before they really had no idea. And that's when I got to thinking... There's so many kids really struggling with maths who need to be taught this way. So they can learn maths easily, quickly, and not get stressed about it. But these simple ways are NOT taught by the vast majority of teachers – most don't even know these methods exist! And it's because all through university their lecturers did them the greatest disservice – by telling them the methods of teaching maths are much the same. Which of course is so wrong. It's a big mistake. And since I discovered methods of teaching maths which students could understand no matter what their ability... I figured there's gotta be a better way of doing this than just one-on-one, so parents don't have to fork out $45, $55, even $70 an hour for a tutor... to save them a minimum of $1800 every year on tutoring fees. Which is why I created MathsOnline – the 24/7 stop and rewind maths tutor which tens of thousands of parents and their kids world-wide now swear by. We first released it as a course (set of 24 CDs) which cost $4,350. And that was only for the High School program – it didn't include all the extra Primary School lessons which are part of the program now. However thanks to the leverage of the internet, now you can get the complete package for just $26.95 a month. So I encourage you to get started using the free trial, and when you're ready... You can upgrade to a full membership where your kids have access to all the lessons, step-by-step video tutorials, across all levels, no matter what school year they're in. -, if your child struggles with maths it's probably not their fault. Maths too often is taught in a dry, text-book like fashion which is so deadly boring it could send a whole army to sleep. Plus kids never get the chance to stop and rewind their teacher in the classroom if they get stuck. And most are way too shy or embarrassed to put their hand up in class. Your child doesn't need to suffer like this anymore. Don't let them get left behind. Don't let their confidence get shattered. There is now a better way with MathsOnline.
