We're down to the last few days before the end of our Save Tuckertown fundraising campaign and your best chance to help us save 4,000 acres of publicly accessible land in North Carolina.

We hope you've heard about the Tuckertown Gamelands at this point. But if not, here's the scoop.

For more than sixty years, hunters and anglers in the state of North Carolina have enjoyed access to this nearly 4,000-acre stretch of privately owned lands made open to the public. But now that’s threatened by the proposed sale of this landscape by Alcoa, the corporation that has long held these lands but no longer can do so.

MeatEater and onX have joined forces to help Three Rivers Land Trust raise the necessary funds to purchase as much of this land as possible and transfer ownership to the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission to be made publicly accessible in perpetuity.

As part of the MeatEater Land Access Initiative, we have committed $100,000 in matching funds, along with an equal amount from onX, to be able to match all donations up to $200,000. And we have almost reached that $200,000 goal.
