I'll be honest with you. It's been a while.

The last few weeks have been one of those seasons where everything gets louder at once, and the only way through is to put your head down and move. More responsibilities. More conversations. More moments of realizing that what I thought was a writing job has quietly become something else entirely.

This brand is the hydration I needed. Pun very much intended.

I came here to write about fascia. And somewhere along the way, I became a student of my own body. That wasn't the plan. But it might be the best thing that's happened to me.

Anyway. I was catching up on a full inbox last week, somewhere between a list of things I needed to write and a cup of coffee going cold, when I opened The New York Times morning newsletter and stopped.

The article was called It's All Connected.

It explored emerging research around something called the interstitium. A third fluid system in the body, researchers believe, made up of interconnected spaces throughout our tissues that allow fluids, cells, and molecules to move between organs before re-entering the lymphatic and cardiovascular systems.

A hidden pathway. A communication network. Something that was always there, just not yet named.

And what made me put my phone down and just sit for a second was this line:

"This knowledge is actually quite ancient. It's something that other systems of medicine have been offering for a long time, but they didn't have microscopes."

I've been sitting with that ever since.

Because here's the thing. Sue has been talking about connective tissue, fluid communication, and the body as an interconnected system for over two decades. Not as a theory. As something she felt in her own body first, then built an entire method around. The idea that tissue is not isolated. That hydration matters. That what happens in one area travels. That slowing down and listening is not soft science, it is the science.

Watching mainstream medicine start to catch up to that language is something I don't have a clean word for. Validation feels too small. Wonder feels closer.
