Founded by Dani Holloway, a country girl from Victoria, the brand was born out of a moment of frustration when Dani kept wrecking her work shoes in Melbourne's notoriously unreliable weather. She needed a durable and comfortable pair of boots that could withstand her commute and still be suitable to walk into a corporate office.
Growing up on a farm, Dani was familiar with just how useful gumboots can be but couldn't find a pair that bridged the gap between city and country life. So she decided to create her own!
Sparked by an idea on a rainy commute, discover the story of Merry People and how Dani went from packing orders in her bedroom to shipping gumboots all around the world!
