5 nutrients to boost hair growth
Every hair your body grows requires a steady supply of protein, vitamins, minerals, and healthy fats.
Including the below…
- Amino acids: The building blocks of keratin (what your hair is made of). Without
enough protein, the body doesn’t have the raw materials to build new keratin cells.
- Find in: Eggs, Greek yogurt, fish, chicken, tofu, beans, lentils, collagen & protein powders
- Iron: Helps deliver oxygen to hair follicles, supporting healthy growth.
Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional causes of hair shedding, especially among women.¹
- Find in: Red meat, lentils, spinach, pumpkin seeds, multivitamins
- Vitamin C: Helps your body absorb iron,
supports collagen production around the follicle (important for follicle strength), and fights free radicals that can impede hair growth.
- Find in: Citrus, strawberries, kiwi, bell peppers, broccoli
- Ceramides: Support a healthy, hydrated scalp barrier. Emerging research suggests
dietary ceramides may also improve hair fullness and reduce breakage.²
- Find in: Wheat germ, brown rice, sweet potatoes, spinach, beets, skin care supplements
- Vitamin D: Low vitamin D levels are linked to certain forms of hair loss.³ Since it's difficult to get enough from food alone, testing can help determine if supplementation makes sense.
- Find in: Fatty fish, egg yolks, fortified milks, supplements
Because hair isn't essential for survival, it's one of the first things your body deprioritizes during times of nutrient shortages, illness, or stress.
So if you’ve been noticing hair loss, graying, or other changes, it's worth taking a closer look at your diet.

Healthier hair & skin starts in the shower

There’s a secret reason you might be dealing with irritated skin or frizzy hair, and it has nothing to do with the products you’re using.
Hard water impacts about 85% of the country. High mineral content can lead to dry skin and rough hair.
Reduce your exposure with
Seventy Co’s filtered showerheads. Their KDF and calcium sulfite filters remove chlorine, heavy metals, and other impurities.
Just by taking a shower, you’ll notice
softer, calmer skin and shiny, smoother hair in no time.

Everything Is Scalp Care: Massages
Everything that
impacts your skin impacts your scalp.
So just in the same way a facial massage can boost blood flow, reduce inflammation, and smooth fine lines, a scalp massage comes with a host of benefits for follicle and hair health.
In fact, research shows that it improves hair density and thickness.
-
One study found that those who received a daily four-minute scalp massage saw a notable increase in hair thickness.⁴
-
Another study found that when 300+ participants followed a specific massage regimen, nearly 70% reported improved hair thickness at the end.⁵
Feels great. Improves hair. Win-win, no?
